with the Fassi family at Gener Neuv and talk to Piero Fassi, as
he leads you into the dining rooms. Meet his wife Giuseppina and
his daughters Maria Luisa and Maura as they whip up traditional
dreams in the kitchen. Combining elegance with comfort, the restaurant
was renovated in 1971, keeping close to its original style and décor.
Sit down and enjoy a fabulous blend of traditional dishes with an

Proverb Room which seats 45 people, the Mirror Room which seats
18 people and the refreshing open-air portico where you can enjoy
the summery breeze as you relish the Agnolotti ai tre stufati (with
a filling of ground rabbit, veal, and pork), right down to your
delicious dessert of Composta di prugne e uva (prune and grape compote).

menu with Finanziere, a stew of meats, sweetbreads and truffles,
Sausage with Fontina cheese sauce with Spumante Riserva Montelera
1991, Rabbit Salad with Arneis - Bruno Giacosa, sliced raw veal
with Parmesan and tiny chopped vegetables with Il Baciale 1994,
Pinot Noir Barbera blend. Tasteful, courteous and helpful, the Gener
Neuv displays delicacies, such as, truffle hunters' bowl in with
warm raw egg with cheese topped with thin shaved white truffle in
covered individual dishes to hold in the aroma of the truffles,
Boned Guinea fowl stuffed with fresh herbs, Piedmontese style eel
and Gnocchi in Castelmagno cheese, Pina’s famous Lasagne Rustiche
alle Verdure, Piccione in Agrodolce which is stuffed squab, Budino
allo Zabaglione which is baked quail’s eggs in winter black
truffle, Fonduta di Toma con uovo e tartufo which is Fondue of cheese
with a poached egg and the Stracotto di bue in Barolo. Go through
marvelously crafted desserts with Zabaglioni pudding with Amaretto
sauce, Poached pear, bits of chocolate in cream sauce, cookies and
candy. Try the great accompaniment of Moscato d'Asti DOCG and Vigna
