This former fishing village is a nice retreat
for a relaxing holiday. With it characteristic steep steps, this
village on the eastern shore of the lake has a fair share of attractions.
For stunning views of the lake head to the ruins of Castello di
Vezio. This walk will take you about 20 minutes on a not-so-difficult
inclined path. It is open only May to June between 10am and 6pm,
and July to September between 11am and 8pm. An admission of 1€

gardens in the town. It is on Via 4 Novembre. This villa was a monastery
until the late 17th century when it was shut down for scandalous
activities that went on. The surroundings, with citrus trees, rhododendrons
and all types of flowers, are serene. You will never want to leave!
It is open from March to October between 10am to 7pm. An admission
of 2€ for adults and 1.30€ for kids under 10 and seniors
over 60, is charged. |
