Located
in the heart of the city, the Palazzo Reale is structurally and
architecturally Naples most impressive building. It was designed
in the 17th century by Domenico Fontana. Charles de Bourbon who
became the king of the city in 1734 made several noteworthy additions
to the palace, including the extensive library.
