The state run FS line plies trains every hour from Brindisi.
Trains from Otranto also pass via Lecce everyday. The railway station
is about 2 kms away from the Piazza Sant’Oronzo. The nearest
airport is the Papola Casale in Brindisi which
is about 40 kms away from Lecce.
Overall, the place is one huge Baroque museum
and people who love architecture would also love this place. One
would definitely be overwhelmed by the rich tradition in the buildings
here brought about by the varying cultures that had existed in the
place. If only one enjoys art and has loads of patience, he could
totally absorb the pleasures that this quaint little city has to
offer.
